Members of the Westmead Redevelopment project team will be at the Info Hub, near the main entrance, during Hospital Week to share information and give away goodies.

Hospital Week is a three-day annual event at Westmead Hospital that features information sessions and talks from top clinical minds from across Australia. It also features stalls run by the healthcare and research industry. This year’s event will run from 29 to 31 August, 2018.

For the third year in a row, the Westmead Redevelopment project team will run a booth at the Info Hub over the three days, which is close to the event action.

Westmead Redevelopment’s director of communications and engagement Emma Spillett said: “it’s a great opportunity to connect with staff and our community, including some of the event visitors who may not have heard the latest news about the redevelopment or may have questions on where we’re up to.”

Visitors will be able to pick up some free project goodies, which are available in limited quantities, so get in quick! Merchandise includes new pens, reusable coffee cups and new water bottles.

As well as merchandise, there are other things to see and do at the Info Hub. The video highlights package will be playing on the television, including the new fly-through video which shows artist’s impressions of the new hospital building, opening in 2020. We’ll also have our virtual reality googles with us so you can see some of the healthcare spaces up-close, including patient bedrooms and the main entrance.

A range of fact sheets and strategic documents will also be on-hand, including the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legacy Strategy and Action Plan and the soon-to-be launched arts and culture strategy.

Visit the Westmead Redevelopment Info Hub between 10am to 2pm each day from 29 to 31 August, 2018. The hub is located is located next to the volunteers’ desk, across from the admissions area.

Outside of Hospital Week, the hub is open 24-hours a day with other pop-up events held regularly throughout the year.
