The Westmead Redevelopment last week participated in the Sydney Science Festival’s event at Westmead, celebrating the hospital’s commitment to cancer treatment.

The festival hosted a session at the Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre on August 15, taking a fascinating journey through the past, present and future of cancer treatment at Westmead Hospital.

Visitors enjoyed speeches from the hospital’s leading cancer clinicians, before taking a tour of the centre.

Jointly presented by Parramatta Heritage Centre and Westmead Hospital, the tour also included a look-back at the hospital’s history and medical innovations.

The Westmead Redevelopment team were on-hand to discuss the future of medical care at Westmead, providing information on the redevelopment.

The Sydney Science Festival, held from August 7 – 19, included more than 200 events, bringing science to life across Sydney.
