Our end of year PUG celebration, new brochure and video opening titles

As 2016 comes to close, we are looking back on all that has been achieved, while looking ahead to a very exciting 2017!

We’d like to thank everyone that has been involved in the planning, construction and consultation work for the Westmead Redevelopment.

We couldn’t have done it without you!

We’ve created a short video that celebrates some of our milestones and looks ahead. Check out our YouTube channel to view the video and to share it with your friends and family.

Last Thursday we celebrated the efforts of our project user groups (PUGs) at an end of year event.

Leena Singh, Director Strategic Business Development and Commercial Services Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD), said after the event: “The planning undertaken at Westmead has been extensive and the combination of bringing together the expertise of the PUGs, Precinct staff, consumers and our Government partners will mean that the community of Western Sydney will continue to receive outstanding care into the future with some additional benefits such as better public transport options and accessibility into the Precinct.”

“I would like to extend a sincere thank you to our PUG champions and the many hundreds of staff and consumers who have contributed to the Planning of the Acute Services Building. The time and commitment put into this planning, when people have their day jobs has been admirable and really appreciated. 2016 was a big year, and 2017 promises even more momentum, with detailed design commencing and the site of the ASB being prepared. Its going to be an exciting year for all those who work on the Westmead Precinct."

“The Executive and I would also like to thank the colleagues and loved ones who have supported PUG members while they created, reviewed and submitted plans and attended workshops and testing sessions—there were many early starts and late nights that we appreciated.”

This Wednesday evening we celebrate the significant contribution of our consumer representatives.

2017—bring it on!
