Posted 29 Jun 2016

The first stage of the Westmead Redevelopment is focussed on setting up the Westmead precinct to support the delivery of high-end clinical services, education and research which includes the delivery of a new shared hospital building between Westmead Hospital and The Children's Hospital at Westmead.

This building will also provide new opportunities for healthcare, research, education and training. Works for the construction of this building will commence mid-2016 and will require the relocation of the helipad for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. The new state of the art helipad for the Hospital will be a lightweight structure constructed above the top level of the visitor's car park. Construction will commence during June and is set for completion by the end of the year.

While the helipad is being built, a number of parking spaces will be required to allow for the construction work. To ensure that there is no net loss of a single car park during this period, an increase in stacked parking will be in operation so please work with our parking assistants.
