What's Ride and Stride Week?

The week spanning October 10 – 14, is Ride and Stride Week. It is an initiative of Western Sydney Local Health District, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and the Westmead Redevelopment team, that aims to encourage hospital staff who drive to work to consider alternative transport options including trains, buses and cycling.

As part of the week, staff have been invited to participate in Ride2Work Day (October 12), trial local public transport options or drive part of the way to the campus and ride or stride the rest of the journey.

Representatives from Transport for NSW and Parramatta Light Rail will visit the precinct during the week to talk to staff about current and future public transport arrangements.
