The Westmead Redevelopment project is joining the week-long celebrations, marking 40 years since Westmead Hospital opened.
The project team will run a number of events and activities, including pop-up events at the project’s Info Hub, opposite the admissions desk at Westmead Hospital’s main entrance.
The always popular virtual reality goggles will be at all pop-up events. These give visitors an immersive experience, allowing them to explore artist’s impressions of a number of spaces within the new hospital building.
Following the success of Sticky Beak Week, the prototype rooms will re-open. Community members and staff can join a guided tour through spaces in the new hospital building, including an operating theatre and patient rooms.
A free goodie bag, available at the Info Hub, will include new fact sheets outlining patient and community amenities, as well as the refurbishment program, which is transforming more than 30 per cent of clinical areas at Westmead Hospital.
See below for a full list of activities planned by the Westmead Redevelopment project during the week of celebrations. Head to the project’s Facebook page for event entries, so you can add them to your calendar.
