Sydney Concepts at Westmead

The inaugural Friday session held in the huddle space in WECC level 1

The University of Sydney has introduced Sydney Concepts at Westmead, a series of conversations between the university and Westmead precinct staff, students, researchers and practitioners. The series aims to foster knowledge sharing and collaborative opportunities, with an emphasis on innovative approaches.

The first session on Friday looked at design as an increasingly valuable tool for driving innovation and disrupting industries. Speakers Dr Erez Nusem and Associate Professor Cara Wrigley from the School of Architecture, Design & Planning discussed the role of design and the opportunities it presents to transform healthcare.

Sydney Concepts at Westmead is on every Friday in the Westmead Education and Conference Centre (WECC) level 1 Huddle from 11.30am-12pm. This Friday’s session will have special guest Professor Anna Reid, Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Prof. Reid will discuss the importance of ephemeral and intangible activity.
