The new perioperative suite on level 3 of the new hospital building will be shared between Westmead Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead when it opens in 2020. We are asking you to put your thinking caps on and offer suggestions of names that celebrate the integration of this paediatric and adult unit!

Connectivity Centre barbecue celebrates NAIDOC Week

Last week Westmead's Connectivity Centre hosted an exhibition of local Indigenous artists as part of NAIDOC Week who have been engaged on the project. Displays of bush medicines and a BBQ with kangaroo and crocodile was enjoyed by all!

Stay healthy with free H2O on tap

Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD), CIVIQ and Sydney Water are urging patients, visitors and staff to swap sugary drinks for fresh free drinking water when they visit Westmead Hospital. Members of the Westmead Redevelopment team handed our free drink bottles to patients, visitors and staff.

New fly-through showcases $1 billion Westmead Redevelopment project

New fly-through vision and images of the $1 billion Westmead Redevelopment project, including the new central acute services building and Innovation Centre, have been officially released by NSW Premier Gladys Berejikilian and NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard.
