Planning the shopping list for new hospital building

Westmead’s new hospital building, which is opening in 2020, will require thousands of pieces of furniture, fixtures and equipment, including medical devices. Staff committees will be busy trialling equipment, ahead of final purchasing decisions, and a new testing area will help the team to continue this work.

Moving day next step for aged care upgrade

Westmead Hospital’s geriatrics unit moved to a new home in D4a on May 30. The move makes room for a refurbishment of the aged care space, which includes a new behavioural management unit. The work is part of stage 2 of the Westmead Hospital refurbishment program.
