The Westmead Redevelopment team recently presented to Westmead Hospital staff about upcoming construction works near the University Clinics front entrance. Morning tea was provided for everyone who attended the session.
Representatives from Multiplex and the Westmead Redevelopment were in attendance to talk about the upcoming construction with Westmead Hospital staff. Project director Tim Mason said it was important to provide a clear understanding of the upcoming works to staff working near the University Clinics entrance.
"It's critical for us to provide a clear look-ahead for what impacts can be anticipated. Our primary goal is to maintain business-as-usual for our hospital staff who continue to work besides the construction that is taking place," Tim said.
"It's for this reason that we also spoke through the our noise, dust and vibration mitigation measures to minimise the impacts. This includes saw-cutting instead of jack-hammering, shifting major disruptive works to Saturdays while the clinic is closed and using dust suppression tactics such as adhesive spray and water carts. We also advise any staff to call our project hotline on 1800 990 296 should they have any issues or complaints about ongoing works."
