Last week, in celebration of International Nurses Day, Multiplex presented Westmead Hospital with a $5000 donation, to assist with continued education and skills development for nurses.
Project manager Jane Curran said Multiplex were excited to contribute to the continued growth of nursing staff at Westmead.
“On behalf of Multiplex, we’re pleased to be able to provide this donation to help nurses continue to learn and grow at Westmead,” she said.
“It’s also a positive reminder of why we are here at Westmead working on the new hospital building - to build new, state-of-the-art health resources for our community.”
Westmead Hospital director of nursing and midwifery Kate Hackett thanked Multiplex for their donation.
“We are so grateful for Multiplex’s generosity,” she said.
This donation recognises the hard work of all of our nursing and midwifery staff across the precinct. It will go towards the benefit of our nurses training and continuing their skills development at Westmead Hospital.”
International Nurses Day is held annually to recognise the significant role nurses play as healthcare providers to the community.
