The Westmead Redevelopment project’s overarching education, training and research user group went on a site tour of the refurbished Westmead Hospital Library earlier this month. Construction is on track for an end of May completion, with the library expected to re-open in mid-June.

Staff share tips during storeroom clean-ups

Storerooms across Westmead are being reorganised during ongoing reviews and clean-ups. Staff from Western Sydney Local Health District and the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network are transforming equipment and consumable storage areas using a philosophy called 6S.

Welcoming, safe, connected

The $1 billion Westmead Redevelopment project has reaffirmed its commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, launching its legacy strategy and action plan at an event today. Revealed before Aboriginal Elders and hospital staff, the legacy strategy intends to close the gap at Westmead, committing to creating a welcoming, safe and connected environment in the new hospital building and refurbished spaces.
