Staff at the Kids Research Institute at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead began work in their refurbished office space for the first time on 8 October, 2017.
Marking the completion of Stage 1 construction, staff today moved into a completely refurbished flexible work environment that boasts 10 new meeting spaces, a high focus work zone and a Staff Hub for socialising, collaborative work, meals and events. The meeting rooms include a combination of bookable rooms with advanced AV capabilities and rooms for focussed work and informal discussions.
Today also marks the commencement of Stage 2 construction for KRI’s new state-of-the-art Clinical Research Centre. This Centre will be a purpose-designed, paediatric clinical trials and research facility, the first of its kind in New South Wales, and equal to facilities at leading paediatric hospitals internationally. Completion is expected in early-2018.
