The level 1 rear entrance to WIMR will be closed from Monday, 29 October 2018 to early December 2018.
An update on construction work impacting Westmead Hospital's Clinical Sciences corridor.
The Westmead Redevelopment project is undertaking works at the entrance to the University Clinics in preparation for the new hospital building, which is expected to be completed in 2020. From late December 2018 until January 2019 (exact dates to be announced soon), the University Clinics entrance will be closed.
After the successful commissioning of the new lifts in A/B Block, the Westmead Hospital lift refurbishment program continues. Some lifts will be out of service in the coming months.
PROPOSED DATE ONLY: The linkway will tentatively close from 6:30am, Thursday, 5 July 2018 until 7am, Friday, 6 July 2018.
Westmead Hospital’s geriatrics unit is moving from D4c to D4a on Wednesday, 23 May 2018. This relocation will make room for the expansion of the intensive care unit in D3, which is part of the Westmead Hospital refurbishment program.
D3c cardiothoracic step-down and surgical ward is moving to B3a on Tuesday, 1 May 2018.
Westmead Hospital’s new inpatient unit (IPU B6) will open on Wednesday, 11 April 2018. The space has been refurbished as part of the Westmead Redevelopment project.
The clinic is currently located in B3c (block B, level 3) and will be relocated to the new inpatient unit B6 in April.
